What You Need to Know About the Third Generation of Internet

Introducing Web 3.0 – The Decentralized Internet

The online world is an ever-changing place. In 2022, we can expect numerous advances in technology, software, and design. The internet in general is no exception. What can you expect in 2022? Well, it’s time to get acquainted with Web 3.0.

Web 3.0 is the third generation of internet services for websites and applications. It will focus on machine-based understanding of data to provide a data-driven and semantic web. Web 3.0 is the future of the intelligent internet. It can do more than just interpret what you input, but actually understand all of what you are trying to convey. Content will be more tailored to users than ever before. Many say that this generation of the internet is becoming increasingly human. Web 3.0 is the most autonomous, open, and intelligent internet the world has ever seen.

What’s New

This next-generation internet has 4 key features:

  • Ubiquity
  • Semantic Web
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • 3D Graphics

To break it down, Ubiquity means a sort of omnipresence. Web 3.0 will make the internet accessible to everyone, anywhere at any time. The goal of this feature is to make the internet integrate more seamlessly into users’ everyday lives.

The phrase Semantic Web means that the depth of understanding that the web possesses will be much more advanced. Even if the syntax of a phrase is different, Web 3.0 will be able to tell if the semantics are the same and derive meaning. For example, “I <3 Tech” and “I love Tech” have different syntax, but Web 3.0 will be able to tell what the user means by decoding meaning and emotions by analyzing data. We as humans know that these two phrases have the same meaning, now the internet will know that too.

By now, we all know what AI is, but the way Web 3.0 utilizes it is fascinating. The improved artificial intelligence that comes along with this generation of internet will be able to tell genuine emotion from fake emotion. This will give platforms like Google the capacity to remove things like fake positive reviews from company google review pages.

Web 3.0 is also referred to as the spatial web because of its 3-Dimensional capabilities. Web 3.0 will blur the line between the virtual world and reality as it revolutionizes graphic technology and makes the online experience much more immersive.

Effect on SEO

The new internet has not forgotten about the importance of SEO. To name a few changes, Web 3.0 will come with improved cluster content analysis. This will allow similar objects to be grouped together allowing for faster auditing of landing and other web pages. Web 3.0 will also use voice search. Website managers should be sure to set up voice search technology to strengthen their SEO strategy. This era of web will also connect to your social media listing search results in order of what your friends prefer or are likely to interact with. Web 3.0 is sure to have a significant impact on SEO.

The 3.0 Difference

When Web 3.0 inevitably arrives, we can expect to see a drastic change in the way we perceive and interact with the internet. Not only will the new internet make browsing a much more personal and well-tailored experience, but it will also become exponentially more integrated into our lives (if you can even believe that is possible). The world can expect to see normally offline devices such as vacuums, ovens, and refrigerators transform and become part of online technology. These are just a few of the new tech miracles that Web 3.0 is expected to bring about.
